In Spring 2022, we installed signage and information boards for 2 circular walks starting from the farmyard. These are family friendly and don't require maps (but we have provided them in case you want to envisage the route before you set off!).
THE FLINTS MARKED WALK (to the south of the farm) For The Adults:
The route is 2.25 miles with only gentle slopes, and there are a few gates to have a breather or even stop for a picnic.
The whole route is on a good quad bike track around the farm to the south of the farm buildings but it can be muddy in places.
You are rarely out of sight of the farm buildings and navigation shouldn’t really be required, but below is a map of the route.
For The Kids:
This is quite an easy walk and hopefully there will be a few animals to see such as our sheep, birds, hares and maybe deer.
On most of the marker posts, there is an arrow but also a letter. Write down or type into a mobile ‘phone each letter as you go along and when you get back to the farm, you may need the help of an adult to work out the 3-word phrase that these letters can be arranged into. Here is a clue as to the number of letters per word:
-------- --- ----- Please remember, take nothing but photos and leave nothing but footprints Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead around any livestock
JUNIPER WOOD MARKED WALK (to the north of the farm) For The Adults:
The route is 1.7 miles with only gentle slopes, and there are a few gates and bridges to have a breather or even stop for a picnic.
The whole route is on a mown path or vehicle track around the farm to the north of the farm buildings but it can be wet in places.
