What time is check-in / check-out? Officially 4pm and 10am but we try to be flexible if we don't have back-to-back bookings.
Do you accept dogs? Yes, we allow up to 3 in The Barn and up to 2 in Cuckoo Cottage, downstairs only. Stair gates are fitted to prevent dogs going upstairs into the carpeted areas. We charge £10 per dog per stay.
Is the garden secure for dogs? We have 3ft high post and rail fencing around the garden shared between the 2 properties, with netting up to 2ft high.
Are bedding and towels provided? Yes, all bedding, a hand towel and bath towel per person are provided plus hand towels in bathrooms and kitchens plus several tea towels. Two pillows per person are provided but more can be supplied on request.
Do you have a cot? We can provide 1 or 2 travel cots on request but we prefer you to bring your own bedding for this. We also have a fireguard and high chair available.
How are the properties heated? Both properties have a log burner and we can provide unlimited amounts of logs. There is also background oil-fired central heating.
What cooking facilities do you have? Both properties have a top and bottom oven / grill, 4 electric hobs, microwave, toaster, kettle.
Do you have WiFi? No, not currently, the 4G signal is excellent so several people have managed to work during their stay.
Do we need a 4x4 to get there? No. Until recently we had a VW Golf that never failed to get there! The road is not tarmaced but as long as you drive sensibly you will get there in all but the most extreme weather (in which case we will make sure you get there if you make it to the A697 turn off!).
Do you have a DVD player? The Barn - yes. Cuckoo Cottage - no, but we can provide one on request.
Do you have a freezer? Yes - fridge freezer in The Barn, under-counter freezer in Cuckoo Cottage.
Do you have a barbecue? Yes, there is one per property, but please bring your own charcoal.
Do you have a hot tub? No, our water comes from a spring so the colour and quantity makes this difficult.
What facilities do you have for cyclists? A shared, lockable shed for up to 10 bikes with electric charging, workstation, tools, pressure washer and comprehensive cycle guide.
Are there any amenities within walking distance? It depends how far you like to walk! Ingram Cafe (including gift shop) is a scenic 3 mile walk away. The nearest shop at Hedgeley garage is 5 miles away. The nearest restaurant is 5 miles away (7 miles by road) at Branton - The Bosk. Wooler is 10 miles away and has pubs, cafes, Co-op, butchers, distillery etc. or Alnwick (13 miles) and Berwick (25 miles) should have everything you need.
Can we get a supermarket delivery to the property? Yes, all major supermarkets deliver to the door.
When do we pay for our holiday? Using the 'book now' button reserves the dates then Pam will email you with the booking details and payment information. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking within a few days, with the balance due at least 14 days before arrival.
