There are 1800 acres of our own farm surrounding the holiday accommodation, with thousands of acres of Northumberland National Park beyond. Multiple bridleways pass through the farm, although some are not ideal for use. On booking, we can provide 4 pre-planned routes, mainly from the doorstep, of varying lengths, all mainly off road.
We have a 10 acre field with a good water trough 100m from the door of the cottages which can be used, although there may be a few sheep to share with! Otherwise, some guests with horses on restricted grazing have used a small paddock just in front of this, or our stone-walled sheep pens. You can purchase some hay from us if needs be.
We charge £25/horse/stay. Whilst we regularly check the fields for damaged fences and litter, all animals are accommodated at their owner's risk.
